Refund and Returns Policy

REFUND & RETURN POLICY

At India Binocular Shop, we maintain a strict no returns / no refund policy for all astronomical telescopes and optical products. These are high-precision, world-class instruments imported from various parts of the globe and are inspected thoroughly before dispatch.

Cancellations

  • Orders can be cancelled only if not dispatched. In such cases, a 3% deduction will be applied as payment gateway charges.
  • Cash on Delivery (COD) is not available.

Returns (If Applicable)

Returns are allowed only under exceptional circumstances, and solely at our discretion. A valid and acceptable reason must be presented, and only upon approval, will a return be entertained.

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be unused, in pristine condition, and in its original undamaged packaging.
  • The return request must be made within 24 hours of receiving the product.
  • A return note stating the reason must be enclosed in the returned package.
  • Return shipping cost must be borne by the customer.
  • A 25% restocking fee will be deducted in cases of order rejection, change of mind, or non-acceptance.

Returns will not be accepted if:

  • The product has been used, damaged, mishandled, or is missing components.
  • Packaging is torn, damaged, or altered.
  • Any ED Telescope has collimation issues (collimation is not covered under warranty).

For Wrong or Faulty Items

If you received a:

  • Wrong product, or
  • Faulty product (excluding collimation of ED Telescopes),

You must notify us within 6 hours of delivery. You must make an unedited video of unboxing the product received as proof for wrong/damaged product claims and share it with us within 24 hours of delivery. This is important for insurance claims; otherwise, no claims will be entertained without proof.

Use a reputed courier to return these fragile items at your cost. You should insure it reaches us back safely.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return:

  • You’ll be notified via WhatsApp of the approval or rejection.
  • Approved refunds will be processed within 2–3 working days, minus any applicable charges (shipping, payment gateway, restocking, etc.).
  • Refunds will be credited back to the original payment method.

If a refund is delayed:

  • First check your bank or credit card statement.
  • Then contact your bank or credit card provider.
